  • A person fasting on the day of Durga Puja should get up early, bathe and wear clean clothes.

  • Next, an urn filled with water should be placed. Mango leaves should be tied around the urn.
  • A coconut should be placed on the urn.
  • First and foremost Lord Ganesha should be worshipped.
  • A Tilak of Kumkum, Roli, Akshat should be applied on Goddess Durga.
  • After this, the urn too should be worshipped similarly by applying Tilak.
  • The Devotee should meditate on Maa Durga, chant Mantras with flowers and Akshat in hand.
  • After this, Akshat and Pushp should be offered to the mother.
  • Fruits and sweets should be offered to the Goddess. This should then be distributed amongst all in the form of Prasad.
