General Characteristics of Mount of Moon (Mount of Luna)
The mount of Moon, also known as the mount of Luna is located at base of the palm opposite the thumb. This mount refers to everything which is associated with a strong imaginative power. It represents an emotional or artistic temperament and extent of beauty, romance, creativity, idealism etc in an individual. People with a well-developed mount of Moon are admirers of aesthetic pleasure and may be artists, musicians or writers.
Such people are gifted with a strong imagination which tinges everything what they do or say. They are intensely romantic but are idealistic in their desires and do not possess the passionate or sensual nature given by the mount of Venus.
Elevation of Mount of Moon
A well-developed mount of Moon represents that the subject is always carried away in emotions and cannot see anyone sad. They often imagine beyond reality and make good writers and artists. Such people tend to become hysterical or show irrational behaviour in an adversity. Also, they take a long time to make decisions and are highly ambitious.
An over-developed mount of Moon makes a person lazy and lunatic. Such a person is always in a fantasy world and never works according to the ground realities. Sometimes, it may develop into a mild form of Schizophrenia.
When the mount of Moon is underdeveloped, the subject lacks a good imagination, is not far-sighted, lacks new and innovative ideas and is selfish and cruel.
Apex of Mount of Moon
When the apex of Mount of Moon is present towards thumb, the subject is very determined to achieve his objective. The presence of this apex towards the mount of Venus depicts that the person will be inclined towards music, art, theatre etc. When the apex is present towards the bracelets, the subject will love travelling but will go through some serious health problems.
Mount of Rahu and Ketu
The position of the mount of these two planets in a palm is controversial. The ancient palmistry does not give much details about the mount of these two planets. Rahu represents our reactions to the existing circumstances whereas Ketu represents our reactions to the happenings of the past. The mount of Rahu is present beneath the line of head in the plain of Mars and the mount of Ketu is present opposite to it between the mount of Moon and the mount of Venus.
