Representations of Various Positions of Head Line - Line of Head
The position of the line of head is of great significance in determining a person’s intellect and his bent of mind towards a specific mode of learning. This line can originate from three different points. It can originate from the centre of mount of Jupiter, from the point of commencement of the line of life or from the Mount of Mars in the life-line.
The representations of the line of head according to its position also differ according to the type of the hand. However, representations of head line on a general hand are discussed first and the position of head line on various types of head are discussed afterwards. Some general representations of head line on the basis of its position are provided below.
- When the line of head rises from the mount of Jupiter and yet touches the line of life, it represents that the subject will be spirited and a skilled person. He will be an amalgamation of daring determination with purpose.
- When the line rises from the mount of Jupiter but do not touch the line of life, it represents that the subject is hasty in taking decisions and is impetuous in action.
- When this line touches the line of life from commencement, it indicates a sensitive and nervous temperament. It depicts excess of caution and defensive approach in a subject.
- The line of head rising from the Mount of Mars within the life-line is not a favourable sign. It indicates that a person worries constantly and always fluctuates in his thoughts and actions. Such a person is highly sensitive and irritable.
Line of Head in Relation to the Six Hand Types
The representations of line of head is usually in accordance with the type of hand on which it is found. There are six types of hands namely elementary hand, square hand, spatulate hand, philosophical hand, conic hand and psychic hand. Some representations of line of head in relation to the various types of hand are provided below.
- Elementary Hand - A line of head inclined towards mount of Moon in an elementary hand depicts an imaginative mind which has superstitious tendency.
- Square Hand - A sloping head line on a square hand represents an imaginative character which has the base of practicality. A sloping head line on the rest of the hands represent a purely whimsical character.
- Spatulate Hand - The excessive sloping of head line on a spatulate hand indicates a restless, irritable and dissatisfied temperament.
- Philosophical Hand - The man with a straight line of head on a philosophical hand is judicious, analytical, rational and cynical. He pursues wisdom and may continue the work of his fellow members.
- Conic Hand - When the line of head gradually slopes downward towards the mount of Moon in such a hand it represents inclination towards tender sentiments like romance, benevolence and sympathy in contrast to the practical qualities of square hand.
- Psychic Hand - The line of head in such a hand is steep sloped giving way to extremely dreamy and lunatic state of mind. It represents that though a person is whimsical but has become practical with the passage of time.
